Realm 3rd Kill – 10m Halion Heroic!
Guys, it has been over a month in the making but now the wipe nights, large repair bills and watching people get killed in the face by the cutters over 9000 times have paid off!
Last night we killed Halion on Heroic and got the realm 3rd kill in the process! Add to that both the other two guilds to have killed it are hardcore 25m guilds who will have killed it in full i277 gear – so in my opinion our 10m only guild with our i264 gear has done remarkably well!
But wait, there is more – I remembered the kill shot!!!!
Really well done guys. Now we only have Lich King Heroic left! Onwards!
Continuum: 6 Month Anniversary + Glory of the Icecrown Raider!
The guild is coming up to its 6 month anniversary in two weeks and the Glory of the Icecrown Raider achievement we got last night has really put it into perspective.
The guild was formed by myself and some other former officers of a long standing Alliance guild. The aim was to create and build a 10man only guild where the we could continue to raid at a high level, without the inherent problems and time commitment of 25m.
Last night we reached the first of three milestones: Glory of the Icecrown Raider!
Its been a great 6 months. We have turned a startup guild into an established guild, with the name recognised and respected by fellow players. I just want to thank everyone involved here for doing their part to build the guild. We have made a number of good friends in the process and long may it continue!
We can now start work towards the next two milestones, Lich King Heroic and successfully taking Continuum into Cataclysm!
Sindragdownsa!
No progress for a couple of weeks, then just like a bus – it all comes at once! Last night was another great raid with Sindragosa heroic being a bit of a disapointment if we’re honest….
It was our first time attempting the boss on heroic, one of our players was running late so we decided to get some practice in 9man until he arrived. On the third try we got to 20%…. then got a 10th person and it immediately dropped.
Personally I have heard a lot about this boss and the co-ordination needed, and was kind of looking forward to the learning process. Oh well not complaining.
Continuum is now 11/12 ICC Heroic! Gratz chaps ![]()
On a side note, erm…. in keeping with tradition. Some daft sod forgot the kill screenshot. So I’ve posted the following showing our current Glory of the Icecrown Raider progress:
You know what this means chaps! Shiny Frostwyrm 310% mounts next week! Don’t miss it.
Professor Downicide!
Its been a few weeks coming, we had some really nice tries against him in the days before Ruby Sanctum was released, but then we left him to concentrate on RS Heroic.
Anyway, we came back to him this week and with only a couple of hours used he dropped in a very convincing display from the team.
Most impressive of all, I remembered the kill shot! Enjoy:
We are now 10/12 ICC Heroic and only need Singdragosa Heroic for the ICC Meta! Shiny new mounts are in sight, maybe Bloodlol will stop eating Popcorn for a few minutes to collect hers when the time comes. heh.
Good Job all!
Meet the team!
Morning everyone, I’m very pleased to announce we have some new additions to the officer team. Two of our old officers have passed the torch due to going on well deserved breaks from the game and we have two capable members who have been selected to fill the gap.
Both are very active players and both have already been providing feedback to the Officer team for a while now, this is just making things official.
Since I always forget the kill screenshots, I figure now is a good time to help make up for it – a screenshot of the new Officer team:
Since we have now been around for about 5 months, I thought it was about time the officer team each gave a few lines about themselves so people know a little more about us:
GuildMaster – Meegle (aka Moogle)
My name is Joe and I’ve been on Dragonmaw since the server started. I levelled a warrior first, got to 50ish then realised that the dual wield dagger spec I so wanted to play just wasn’t working….. so levelled a Rogue (“Moogle”) instead… love at first backstab! I was one of the few combat dagger specs in TBC and although it was often seen as the inferior spec it was damn fun to play and I could more than hold my own on the dps meters.
After months of Warglaive related dkp hording battles between all the rogues, in a cruel twist of fate I miscalculated my DKP on the Illidari Council and essentially handed both Warglaives to my partner in rogue crime Myther…. with an advantage of ONE DKP! I did eventually get the offhand Warglaive, but my single biggest regret in WoW is not being able to get the set, despite farming BT for about 6months prior to 3.0.
I started my 25m Raiding life in Legio Sanctus around the Kara/Gruul/Magtheridon time and was instantly hooked. I still look back at the SSC/TK/BT days as the glory days in terms of both the content and more importantly the bond that the guild shared. I will never forget the first Vashj kill after months of wipe nights, it was a close kill, people were dropping like flys and as she went down the 25 screaming voices on TeamSpeak still bring a tear to my eye.
I eventually went on to be Legio Sanctus’s raid leader, officer and then guild master. Sadly as many of the old people retired from the game it just didn’t seem the same so I moved to Dominium where I had 6 happy months before the guild sadly disbanded.
To cut a long story short, I formed Continuum with some other Legio Sanctus officers with the aim of recapturing some of the old TBC community feel. We are not a hardcore guild, but we are not casual either. Simply put, we are a hardmode guild, using sensible raid times of 2-3 days a week that uses focused play to make the most out of them. I’m really pleased with how Continuum has evolved. We have some really dedicated officers and some great raiders. Its a fun place to be – the raids are full of friendly banter and people know when to focus. Long may it continue!
In real life I’m an IT consultant in the City. I specialise in Microsoft technologies and all forms of Virtualisation. Its great fun and I love it almost as much as WoW!
Healing Officer – Bloodsekhmet
Hi everyone, Mooglol gave me the homework to tell something about myself. Now of course there is loads to tell, but nothing is really that interesting. My real name is Pauline, 22 years old and i live in the Netherlands. I’m known as Bloodsekhmet aka Blood, BE priest. I started the game 1,5 years ago and levelled Bloodsekhmet at the speed of light to level 80 in 4 months, finding out in the end that holy isn’t usually the spec you level with
After hitting 80 i got interested in raiding, joined several core raiding guilds and have been Guildmaster of raiding guild LoN for 6 months. Sadly that guild disbanded but of course that break didn’t take long. After starting again LK was up, and i wanted to go raiding again, which led me to Continuum. My role in the team is to look after the healing part of the guild, so any questions, comments, ideas about healing matters are welcome.
My main goal in the game is to have fun, make friends, get LOTS of mounts and pets and ofc blaming mooglol when my loot doesn’t drop!.
Greetz Blood
DPS Officer – Yujiro
Hi all, I live in Dubai and play from my noisy cyber cafe. I am the guild’s version of the hard core raider and am always looking for progress. As a result I sometimes take issue with people who whine for the sake of it just because something isn’t going to plan. Whining doesn’t solve anything and I have a lot of respect for those people who can re-focus and get back in there to get it right.
its very important to me to have good relationship with the other guild members and I always try to help them whenever I can.
Sadly I will never be as high on the DPS meters as Moogle, but I understand it is simply because he is a better player. (<– Written by Yujilol, honest!)
Tank Officer – Zordan
Hi, here is just info about myself and my wow „career“. My name is Bernd and I live in Vienna, Austria.
I’ve started WOW on the day it got released on US Servers in November 2004. Had a mage back then on the US-Server Llane and after leveling up I joined a guild called “Rapture”, where I also became an officer later. We pretty much dominated pve progress in Vanilla and got every single server-first on that server. When we killed Nefarian in summer 2005 I got sick of raiding from 1 o’clock in the night to 7 o’clock in the morning and consequently switched to EU servers with some of my other European friends from that guild.
On the EU server Kor’gall I created my first warrior character and founded the guild “The Imperium” together with 2 of my old mates from Rapture. We built the guild from scratch starting as level 1s and managed to become the #2 guild on the server by the beginning of 2006. In spring 2006 the whole guild transferred from Kor’gall to Dragonmaw. The guild was shortly after reformed into <Evocati>. I was the MT in both these guilds. In summer 2006 I quit WOW for almost 2 years and then came back in early autumn 2008.
Since one of my old guild mates has used my old warrior as his new main, I started from zero again and created Zordan (Orc Warrior again lol), my current character. I went casual at first, but after a time the “fever” set in again and I joined <Entropy>, got a fixed raiding spot as tank there after some time and continued what I enjoy most about this game: end-game raiding. In WOTLK I took part in most of the server firsts that <Entropy> got.
In the beginning on 2009 I got a new job that was much more demanding and quit WOW again, also because I kinda got bored with the content, since we cleared it all. I then came back in full force in spring 2010 where I joined <Continuum>, a newly formed guild back then, on the first day I reactivated my account. We guild has gone its way ever since and is now, I believe, one of the, if not THE best 10man guild on this server. What makes us special though is not our progress imo, it’s that we are a tight-knit bond, as we all also very much enjoy the social part of wow
Guidance Officer – Rockweiler
This is a little long and ended up being a bit of a wall. I’ve been playing since the release of TBC, I played feral and in my first raid I was tanking on Nightbane, Night Sentinels had struggled for months with it, I couldn’t understand why because It died on my first attempt. Then I tanked prince and the same happened. I continued with the progress and was there for every first kill until we cleared 3/4 TK, 5/6, and 3/5 MH. The guild had split and become Phoenix Legends by then and things had ground to a halt. Patch 2.3/2.4 came along and I tried playing balance, badge gear allowed me to do so without stealing loot in raids. I’d loved being feral but this just seemed right. During my last 6 months there I got myself raid ready and played balance any time I wasn’t needed to tank but it had to come to an end, those last 6 months there was alot of discussion but few changes. I left being their best geared tank and their highest DPS. I needed a new challenge
Id looked around and decided that Legio Sanctus was where I wanted to be and on joining I wasn’t disappointed. In PL I had so many complaints that even simple things were handled poorly yet Legio was something else, I had zero issues with the way things were run. Things were good and with them I cleared MH/BT and was present for first kills of Kalecgos and Brutalis but sadly we didn’t have the priests for Felmyst
Wrath of the lich king was sadly the beginning of the end, during those first few months Legio lost more than 50% of its team from TBC, others went social and the well formed trust and working together that could be seen before had gone to the wall. It lasted up to 25man 3drakes and then from there onwards I don’t remember enjoying the 25man raids at all. 10man was the way forward, Moogle had already been running raids on off days with a select team and doing attempts at 10man 3drakes. From the beginning I wanted in, this was a cool fight and moreover it had been so hard that once it was down.. it was likely it would never be attempted again. Weeks went by of me harassing moogle for a spot, no luck. He was a dirty stinking rogue and had gone for melee focused buffs. They had over 200 attempts before my luck came in but when it did i was ready, 1-2-3 tries and it was down! score another first kill for the rock, GET IN!
Before then I think Moogle doubted me, but i’ve raided with him pretty consistently for some time now and he has seen that I do earn my raid spot with my performance.
My ability to keep calm and provide good impartial insight has earned me the “Guidance Officer” spot… which essentially means I offer advice but get to stay away from all the hard work! lol
Outside of the game Im 28 and live in the town of Warwick, England I moved here a few years ago for a job. I currently work for a consultancy firm on IT outsourcing deals, At work im ambitious and professional. Outside of that im mischievious and little evil
I’m a huge fan of movies and rock music, particularly festivals. I know where I want to be in life and working to get there little by little, but im determined and patient.
Summary
Well that’s the team, more coming soon!
Halion falls to the might of… erm… us :)
More progress ladies and gentleboys – this time its Halion. In keeping with tradition I forgot the screenshot, so you have to make do with just my ugly mug ![]()

Gratz guys!
We’re pimped!
Got bored this morning so upgraded the firewalls early…. planned downtime is overrated tbh
on the fly downtime is more fun.
Cheers
Website/Forum/TeamSpeak Downtime incoming for Firewall upgrade…
But unlike Blizzard I shouldn’t need 24hours ![]()
Guys, I will be taking the website/forum/Teamspeak servers down on Tuesday night for some upgrades. Basically I am trying to optimise the connection so will be installing a rather impressive enterprise level firewall.
Not only is this more secure, but it will help with a number of other features such as traffic shaping for TeamSpeak.
It was originally running on a little home router, but we had some problems so I put a small business router on it last week and we have seen notable improvement…. but now its time to break out the big guns – I’ve had a spare major brand 19” rackmount firewall ‘just lying around’ for a while and its about time I put it to good use ![]()
Julie is complaining my study is looking like a server room these days…. I think she is just being fussy:
